Douglas Schlesser is an experienced English educator, currently teaching students in grades 9-12 at Thornton Fractional South High School since August 2011, with a diverse curriculum that includes Survey of English, Creative Writing, African American Literature, Contemporary Issues Through Literature, and Theater Arts. In addition to this role, Douglas has been a Program Facilitator for Quantum Learning Network since March 2011, where instruction is delivered through unique facilitation methods at an academic and life skills summer camp, along with mentoring college students in leadership positions. Furthermore, Douglas serves as a Summer Institute Instructor for the Golden Apple Foundation since 2012. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Illinois State University.
