Berk Kovos

Quantum Control Solution Engineer at Quantum Machines

Berk Kovos began their career in 2011 as a Student Technician at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics, where they were responsible for designing and building detectors, PMT caps, active and passive shields, writing simulations, and programming Labview to acquire data. Berk also served as the President of the Society of Physics Students at the University of Chicago that same year. In 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Molecular Engineering and as a Graduate Student Researcher and Postdoctoral Scholar at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Quantum Control Solution Engineer at Quantum Machines.

Berk Kovos attended the University of Chicago from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physics. From 2014 to 2021, they attended the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantum Science and Engineering. From 1997 to 2010, they attended UOML. In 2009, they also attended Stanford University.
