Stéphane AMALFI has worked in a variety of roles, beginning with a Technician training period at the Centre Nucléaire de Production d'Electricité in 1996. Stéphane then completed an Engineering training period at the Computational & Experimental Fluid Dynamics Lab, Dept. of Mech. Engineering, Queen's University in 1999. In 2000, they became an Engineer - PhD student at the Laboratoire de mécanique des Fluides et d'Acoustique. In 2003, they took on the role of Teaching Assistant at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon I. In 2005, they began working as an R&D Engineer - Responsible for Fluid Mechanics studies at Crossject. In 2010, they became the Design Manager at SOLUSCOPE SAS. From 2012 to 2015, they were the R&D Director at St George Medical, where they were responsible for recruitment and management of the team, setting up the quality system, design and development of two different product ranges, risk analysis, usability analysis, management of sub-contractors and supplier relationships, preparing reports for research tax credit, preparing the Design dossier for CE Mark submission, and patent filing. Finally, in 2019, they became the System Engineering Manager at Quantum Surgical SAS.
Stéphane AMALFI has a comprehensive education history. Stéphane started their studies in 1994, earning a HND equivalent in France (Diplôme Universitaire de Technologie) from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 1996. Stéphane then earned an Engineer’s degree from Institut des Sciences et Techniques de l'Ingénieur de Lyon (UCBL) in 1999. Following this, they earned an MSc equivalent in France (Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies) from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 1999. In 2001, they earned a University diploma from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in Industrial and Scientific Development. Finally, in 2005, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Ecole doctorale MEGA (Ecole Centrale de Lyon, UCBL I, INSA Lyon) in Fluid Mechanics.
