Albert Batet Martínez

Research Scientist at QuantuMDx Group

Albert Batet Martínez has extensive experience in the field of laboratory science. Albert started their career in 2008 with internships in the Department of Developmental Biology and the Department of Stem Cells and Cancer Research at the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB).

In 2011, Albert completed internships in the Department of Forensic Genetics at both the Facultad de Medicina, Zaragoza and the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (CIEA).

From 2013 to 2016, Albert worked as a Laboratory Scientist at Complement Genomics Ltd, where they conducted molecular analysis, data processing, and assisted with project management and new research proposals. Albert also performed DNA extraction, genotyping, and sequencing to produce paternity test reports.

Albert then moved on to SensaPharm Ltd in 2013, where they continued to work as a Laboratory Scientist. Here, they focused on researching wound-healing processes of diabetic foot ulcers and worked on DNA extraction and standard PCR.

Since 2016, Albert has been working at QuantuMDx Group Limited, where they initially started as a Laboratory Technician but was quickly promoted to Research Scientist. In this role, they focused on optimizing multiplex PCRs and studying different probe, dye, and quencher combinations. Albert also conducted Q-PCR in microfluidic systems and performed benchtop PCRs and gel electrophoresis.

Throughout their career, Albert has demonstrated a strong ability to perform laboratory techniques, analyze data, and produce reports.

Albert Batet Martínez completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree (MSc) in Forensic Analysis at Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea from 2011 to 2012.
