Matthew Partington

Matthew Partington has a diverse work experience. Matthew is currently the Head of Bioinformatics and Data Science at QuantuMDx Group Limited since November 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at QIAGEN from June 2018 to November 2019. Matthew also has experience as an Independent Consultant in Cloud Computing, Bioinformatics, and Data Science from June 2016 to June 2018. Earlier in their career, Matthew worked as a Software Engineer at Taopix Photo Commerce Software from June 2014 to June 2016 and as a Research Associate at Newcastle University from January 2011 to June 2014. Matthew also worked briefly as a Software Developer at EY in 2010 and as a Post Doc at Newcastle University from January 2010 to July 2010. Matthew's earlier roles include working as a Lecturer at Newcastle College from September 2009 to December 2009, as a Software Consultant at EECS & Partners from May 2009 to August 2009, and as a Researcher - PhD Student at INEX from October 2004 to April 2009.

Matthew Partington completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Genetics at Newcastle University from 2000 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at the same institution from 2003 to 2004. Matthew then continued their education at Newcastle University, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanotechnology from 2004 to 2009.
