Sharon Avkin Nachum

Sharon Avkin Nachum has extensive work experience in the field of nucleic acid-based therapy and pharmaceuticals. Sharon currently holds the position of VP of Technology at EdiTy Therapeutics since August 2020. Prior to this role, they worked as a Consulting Specialist in nucleic acid-based therapy in 2020. Before that, Sharon Avkin Nachum had a long tenure at Quark Pharmaceuticals, starting as a Research Project Director in July 2007 and later becoming the Senior Director Head of Chemistry in March 2017.

Sharon Avkin Nachum has an extensive education history in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. Sharon began their academic journey at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from 1995 to 1999. Sharon then pursued further study at the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 1999 to 2002. Sharon's passion for their field continued to grow, leading their to complete their highest degree, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, also at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2002 to 2007. With this extensive educational background, Sharon Avkin Nachum has acquired a strong foundation that will support their success in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.
