Audience Editor at Quartz

Ashley Webster is currently the Audience Editor at Quartz. Prior to that, they were the Social Media Editor at Inc. Magazine from April 2017 to July 2021. There, they developed and executed social media strategy and audience development initiatives to increase community engagement, provide resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs, and drive traffic to Inc.com. Ashley also led podcast, live event, and virtual event promotion on Inc. social channels while they were there.

Before working at Inc. Magazine, Ashley was the Assistant Editor at The Tab from August 2015 to April 2017. During that time, they were responsible for managing the content calendar for all Inc. social channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Ashley also collected and analyzed performance data to produce weekly and monthly traffic reports.

Ashley got their start in the publishing industry as an Editorial Intern at Time Out Sydney from May 2014 to August 2014. There, they collaborated with the Inc. editorial team to plan and execute editorial package launches, magazine cover reveals, and application announcements.

Outside of their work in publishing, Ashley has also worked as a Brand Ambassador for Hayden Reis from March 2014 to June 2014.

Ashley Webster majored in Journalism with a focus on Peace, War & Defense at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
