Ryan Froats is the Director of Partnerships at Quartz. Prior to their current position, they were a Client Lead at The New York Times from June 2015 to March 2020. While at The New York Times, Ryan was responsible for developing business with key clients and growing the $6M book of business through the selling of digital, video, branded content, experiential and programmatic offerings. Ryan was also responsible for onboarding and mentoring new hires, including salespeople, planners and coordinators.

Ryan has consistently met and exceeded performance goals and sales quotas throughout their career. In 2018, they achieved the Chairman's Circle award for achieving 149% of their sales quota. Ryan is a skilled negotiator and has a consultative selling approach that allows him to understand client objectives and creatively develop, lead and craft pitches. Ryan is a strategic thinker who collaborates well with others to create tailored strategic marketing plans and introduce new product opportunities.

Ryan Froats is a graduate of Endicott College, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. Ryan also attended Yorktown High School.

They are on a team with Anna Oakes - Head of People, Amy Perry - VP, Quartz Creative, and Katherine Bell - Editor in Chief. Their manager is Zach Seward, Chief Executive Officer.
