Dougal Williams is a seasoned professional in the trading and financial sector, currently serving as Quantitative Trading Director at Qube Research & Technologies since September 2022. Prior to this role, Dougal was the Global Head of Proprietary Trading - Sugar at Louis Dreyfus Company from January 2018 to August 2022, where responsibilities included the development of proprietary trading strategies. Dougal's career also includes a tenure as Portfolio Manager at Edesia Asset Management from April 2013 to December 2017, overseeing base metals strategies and their deployment, following fundamental research methods. Earlier experience at Edesia included a role as Analyst, focusing on base metals analysis. Dougal began the professional journey at Louis Dreyfus Commodities as a Graduate Trainee Trader in 2012, gaining valuable insights into soft commodities trading. Dougal holds a BSc in Agricultural Economics from Newcastle University, which was completed in 2011, and attended Loretto School from 2001 to 2006.
