Ian Cain has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ian currently serves as the Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of QUBIC Labs, where they support and invests in entrepreneurs developing companies around financial, government, and civic technologies. Prior to this, they were the President of The Highpoint Group. Ian also has experience as a City Councilor for the City of Quincy, where they performed legislative tasks and approved budgets. Earlier in their career, Ian worked as the Executive Vice President of TriWire Engineering Solutions, a leading provider of technical support services to the cable and telecommunications industries. Ian also served as the Vice President of Business Development at Valuation Research Corporation and as the Business Development Director at Luminoso Technologies. Ian's experience also includes working as an MBA Associate at SJF Ventures, a venture capital partnership, and as a Project Manager at BTU Ventures, specializing in investments in the energy sector. Ian began their career as an Associate in Equity Capital Markets & Property Management at Tishman Speyer.
Ian Cain attended Boston College High School from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their High School Diploma. Ian then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science at Boston College from 2001 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, Ian enrolled in Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2011 to 2013, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Additionally, Ian participated in a non-degree MBA Exchange Program at the National University of Singapore in 2013. In 2019 to 2020, they attended Tufts University's Institute for Nonprofit Practice and obtained a Core Certificate in the field of study.
