Shaelyn Parsley

Shaelyn Parsley is an experienced professional in emergency management and meteorology. Currently serving as an Emergency Management Associate for Queen Anne's County Government since May 2023, Parsley previously held the position of Operational Meteorologist - Team Lead at Early Alert Inc. from November 2015 to May 2023, where responsibilities included forecasting weather hazards and leading briefings on severe weather events. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from North Carolina State University, and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Chesapeake College. Additional experience includes various roles at North Carolina State University and a student internship with the National Weather Service in Raleigh.
