Whitney Harrison

Whitney Harrison currently serves as a Teen Librarian at Queens Public Library since January 2023, following experience as a Teen Librarian Trainee. Prior roles include Young Adult Library Trainee at Elmont Public Library and Lead Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools. Additional experience includes internships as a Curatorial Intern at the Museum of the City of New York and a Showroom Intern at Chinamine USA, where responsibilities involved assisting in product development and organizing fabric libraries. Whitney's early career features an Education Internship at The African American Museum of Nassau County, focusing on artifact organization and art education. Whitney holds a Master of Library Science with a focus on Children and Young Adult Services from Queens College and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociocultural Anthropology from Brooklyn College, graduating Cum Laude.
