Jennifer May Reiland is a professional artist based in Brooklyn with a focus on drawing and watercolor painting. Reiland has held the position of Artist In Residence at the Queens Museum since October 2018 and has been a freelance artist since May 2011. Previous residency roles include participation in the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation. Reiland was also an Artist in Residence at The Drawing Center during its Open Sessions from January 2016 to December 2017 and served on the selection committee for Jeune Creation in March 2018. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Cooper Union and a semester abroad at Universitat de Barcelona, along with attendance at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Reiland received a grant of 10,000 euros for work related to World War I during a 10-month residency at the Fondation des Etats-Unis in Paris.
