Tony Alves has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and membership. Tony has held the position of Executive Creative Director at The Bryan Museum since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Director of Marketing and Membership at the same museum from 2020 to 2023. Before joining The Bryan Museum, Tony worked at Albertus Magnus College as the Director of Alumni Relations & Parent Engagement from 2018 to 2020. Tony also has extensive experience at California State University-Long Beach, where they held various roles including Marketing Director, Senior Communication Strategist, and Associate Director of Communications and Marketing from 2004 to 2018. Tony's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Membership Marketing at The Autry National Center from 2001 to 2004, and as the Membership Manager at the Museum of Latin American Art from 1997 to 2001.
Tony Alves earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Kent State University from 1992 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) with a specialization in Public Policy and Administration from California State University, Long Beach, completing it from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they have additional certifications in IFTF Futurist from IFTF and Raiser's Edge.
