Malcolm Catchpole possesses extensive experience in various roles within the government and consulting sectors, primarily focused on defense, project management, and infrastructure development. As a current Committee Member of the Queensland Police Minister’s Firearms Advisory Committee and a Defence Consultant at Defence Consulting since May 2016, Malcolm has contributed to significant projects and organizational initiatives. Previous positions include Project Development Manager and Project Director at GHD, as well as managerial roles in several departments including the Department of Communities and the Department of Housing and Public Works. Malcolm's educational background includes studies at Queensland University of Technology and Anglican Church Grammar School, complemented by involvement in Australian Air Force Cadets.
