Chris Lawson has extensive experience in engineering and infrastructure, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Independent Advisor to the CEO and a member of the Investment Committee at Urban Utilities since March 2017, Chris reviews capital investment planning and asset strategy. Chris has a strong background as an Infrastructure Specialist while self-employed and has held significant roles such as Chair of the Griffith University Engineering & Built Environment Advisory Board and a member of various advisory boards, including those for Redland City Council and Mackay Regional Council. Previous positions include Chairman and Director at Aurecon 37 Ltd, where Chris oversaw Australian operations and project delivery systems. Educational qualifications include an MBA from La Trobe University, an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from James Cook University.
