Marcelo Costa

Marcelo Costa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

Marcelo is currently working as the CTO/CIO/IT Director at Queima Diária since May 2022. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's technology strategy, managing IT teams, implementing new technologies and solutions, ensuring IT governance, managing IT projects, ensuring system and data security, providing support to systems and applications, managing IT vendors, and aligning technology goals with overall business objectives.

Prior to this, Marcelo worked as the Head of Operations TI at Queima Diária from December 2021 to May 2022. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the IT operations of the company.

Before joining Queima Diária, Marcelo served as the Commercial Director at SUCESU MINAS from December 2021.

Marcelo's previous experience includes working at Montreal Oficial as the Head of Technology - IT Manager from June 2020 to November 2021. In this role, they ensured the availability, scalability, and performance of critical business systems and applications. Marcelo also implemented measures to ensure business continuity, proactively resolved IT incidents and problems, managed IT vendors, monitored system performance, and led and developed their IT operations team.

Marcelo also held various positions at Montreal Oficial, including IT Infrastructure Manager, Coordinator of IT Infrastructure, IT Infrastructure Supervisor, Infrastructure and Network Analyst, and Technician in Electronics and Telecommunications.

Marcelo has also worked as a Project Consultant for IT Infrastructure and Telecom at Inetvip from July 2017 to May 2020, Solucionare from March 2017 to March 2018, and Rede Cidadã from May 2013 to August 2013.

Earlier in their career, Marcelo worked at Minas Tênis Clube as a Recreationist from March 2006 to December 2006, and at Assprom Oficial as a Continuo from December 2003 to February 2006.

Marcelo Costa completed their education in a chronological manner. Marcelo first attended SENAI BH CECOTEG from 2008 to 2010, where they earned a degree as a Técnico em Eletrônica in the field of Tecnologia em Elétrica e Eletrônica.

Following that, from 2011 to 2016, Marcelo attended PUC Minas, where they pursued a degree in Engenharia Eletrônica e Telecomunicações (Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications).

Most recently, from 2020 to 2021, Marcelo enrolled in Ibmec, where they pursued a Global MBA in Business Management, focusing on Administração e Negócios (Administration and Business).

In addition to their formal education, Marcelo has also obtained various certifications. In 2022, they completed the Módulo Internacional - Columbia program offered by LIP Global. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in Learning AWS CloudFormation through LinkedIn. In 2020, they acquired certifications in What Is Scrum?, Gestão de Novos Gerentes, and Técnicas de Gestão de Tempo para Gerentes, all from LinkedIn.
