THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a Scientist to expand our MSAT (Cell Process) team. A successful candidate will be working very closely with Process Development and GMP Manufacturing department within Manufacturing operations. The candidate will contribute to creation of the best ways of manufacturing process to help to develop our CAR-Treg therapies and will be involved in improving next generation products.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide technical expertise, and practical capacity to the MSAT (Cell Process) team
  • Assist in designing, conducting, optimizing and evaluating new processes in manufacture within GMP environment
  • Manage MSAT related activities across multiple projects and providing technical leadership for completing projects with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain highly organised and detailed documentation and establishing relevant SOPs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work with other teams to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Manage and support external collaborations as a subject matter expert in immunology.
  • Support Tech transfer activities both internal and external facilities.
  • Support root cause analysis and assessing non-product quality impacting deviations.
  • Authors and reviews batch records, bill of materials and change controls.  Assesses change controls for impact of any change to the process, equipment, or procedures.

EXPERIENCE

  • Practical experience implementing design of experiments to develop processes
  • Solid understanding of immunology and cell therapy.
  • Demonstrable expertise in cell-based techniques include flow cytometry.
  • Good understanding of working with quality management systems (e.g. Q-Pulse)
  • Knowledge of tech transfer and working with CDMOs desirable.
  • Previous experience working with GMP equipment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

  •  BSc degree in a relevant study field and relevant industry experience. MSc beneficial
