Julien Browne

Julien Browne has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Julien currently holds the role of Associate Director Head Analytical Development at Quell Therapeutics, where they started in August 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager Analytical Development at GammaDelta Therapeutics from October 2019 to August 2020.

Before joining GammaDelta Therapeutics, Browne served as a CMC Analytical Manager at PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd from April 2018 to October 2019. Julien also worked at Lonza as a Group Leader Bioassay from September 2014 to April 2018.

Browne started their career in the industry at Pfizer in 1998. Julien held various roles at Pfizer, including Senior Scientist in the Primary Pharmacology Group, Senior Scientist in the Allergy and Respiratory Therapeutic Area, and Development Scientist/Senior Scientist in the Biologics Group. Julien worked at Pfizer until August 2010.

Before Pfizer, Browne worked as a Senior Research Scientist at ProImmune, Ltd. in 2014 and as a Senior Cell Biologist Project/Group Leader at Syntaxin Ltd from August 2010 to December 2013.

Julien began their career as a Scientist at British Biotech Pharmaceuticals in 1994, where they worked in the Assay Development Group until 1998.

Overall, Browne has a wealth of experience in analytical development, bioassays, and research, and has held leadership positions in various companies throughout their career.

Julien Browne completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at The Open University from 2014 to 2017. In addition to this, Julien obtained an MBA certification from The Open University. Prior to this, Julien attended De Montfort University from 1989 to 1993, where they pursued a degree in Biotechnology with a focus on Fermentation, Molecular Biology, Protein Biochemistry, Protein Purification, and Analysis.
