Phillip Weinberg has held a variety of positions since 2008. Phillip began their career as a Cashier at Rite Aid in 2008. In 2009, they became a Student at the Associated Students of Michigan State University. In 2011, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, where they worked with Professor Phil Duxbury to develop models for strongly correlated electron systems and with Assistant Professor Alex Levchenko to work with stochastic models of phase slips in superconducting nanowires. Phillip also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Mathematics and Physics. In 2013, Phillip Weinberg became a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Fellow at Boston University. In 2020, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northeastern University. Currently, Phillip is a Scientific Software Engineer at QuEra Computing Inc., a position they have held since 2022.

Phillip Weinberg completed their high school diploma at Plymouth High School from 2005 to 2009. Phillip then attended Michigan State University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned their Bachelor's of Science in Physics. Afterwards, Phillip Weinberg attended Boston University from 2013 to 2020, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics and their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics.
