Emma Capron has a diverse work background, starting with their role as a waitress and bar staff at Blue Arrow from June 2007 to August 2008. Emma then worked as a seasonal sales professional at Tiffany & Co. from October 2007 to December 2010. Emma entered the publishing industry in February 2012 as a Publishing Assistant at Simon and Schuster, where they worked across the fiction editorial department and also contributed to The Hot Bed, a multi-platform social media initiative for New Adult books and authors. Emma progressively advanced within the company, taking on roles such as Editorial Assistant, Assistant Editor, Project Editor, and finally Editor from October 2014 to January 2019. Emma joined Quercus Books as a Senior Commissioning Editor, Fiction in February 2019 and was later promoted to Editorial Director in June 2021. In their current role, they commission family drama, popular fiction, romance, and book group fiction, while also curating projects to fill market gaps or based on trends.
From 2008 to 2011, Emma Capron studied Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Leeds.
