Alexia Austin

Alexia Austin is an experienced communications professional currently serving as an Associate Editor at Nature Portfolio since April 2024. Previously, Alexia held the role of Communications Coordinator and Media and Communications Officer at the University of Southern Queensland between January 2023 and May 2022. Alexia began a career in journalism at News Corp from July 2017 to March 2021, following a brief stint as a journalist at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in mid-2017. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Applied Neuroscience from King's College London and previous degrees in Neuroscience and Journalism from The University of Queensland.
