Qian Cheng

Qian Cheng, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Editor at Springer Nature Group's Nature Communications, focusing on biotechnology and computational method development. Previously, Qian held the position of Associate Editor at Nature Communications, addressing topics in computational biology and systems biology, and currently contributes as an Advisory Editor for npj Systems Biology & Applications and as a Consulting Editor for Nature Computational Science. Prior experience includes Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist roles at BioMap, where research centered on bioinformatics and multi-omics data analysis, and a stint as a Computational Biologist at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, leading research on haematopoiesis. Qian completed a Ph.D. in Bioengineering at the University of Cambridge, having also earned an MSc from the University of Oxford and dual BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Liverpool and Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
