April Simpkins has extensive experience in the field of human resources and consulting. April currently holds the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Questco Companies, where they have been employed since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Chief Human Resources Officer at Total HR from May 2019 to January 2023. April also founded Thrive Recruiting and Development in March 2018 and has been the President of HRS&S Consulting, LLC since October 2001. Additionally, April served as an Ambassador for NAMI starting in August 2022, where they worked to raise awareness about mental health and promote services nationwide.

April Simpkins, PHR, SHRM-CP completed their education at Jackson College in Jackson, MI from 1990 to 1992. April studied accounting and music during this time. Additionally, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) in June 2007 and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in February 2015. April also received the Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) certification from the Institute for Diversity Certification in February 2023.
