John McNelly has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications and marketing industry. John has held various leadership positions in different companies.

In 1994, John joined Prestige Cable TV as the Director of Sales & Marketing. During their five-year tenure, they oversaw all marketing and sales activities, including the rebuild of the cable network, launch of advanced products, and growth of core services. John also managed a team of eight and implemented marketing campaigns for the North Carolina region.

Afterwards, John joined Charter Communications in 1999 as the Regional Director of Operations. John directed the operations of a multi-site business unit and was responsible for managing a team of 230 associates across eight departments. John focused on improving customer service and building relationships with customers, the community, and employees. Later, they became the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, where they implemented customer acquisition campaigns and analyzed market data to drive growth.

In 2006, John moved to Suddenlink Communications as the Regional Vice President of Marketing & Sales. John played a vital role in rebranding the newly acquired properties in the Southwest region and oversaw operational and strategic marketing initiatives. John later became the Vice President of Corporate Marketing, where they provided strategic direction and leadership to a team of channel leaders and executed brand management and marketing communications at an enterprise level.

In 2018, John assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Madera Residential, where they led marketing efforts for the company.

Most recently, in 2023, they became the Chief Marketing Officer at Quext, overseeing marketing activities for the organization.

John McNelly has a diverse education history. In 1985, they attended Texas Christian University, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. The following year, from 1986 to 1991, John attended Texas Tech University and obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Later on, John furthered their education by attending the Harvard Business School Executive Education program, where they completed the Cable Executive Management Program between an unknown start date and 2013. This program focused on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
