Michael Nelson's work experience begins in 1999 when they worked at Wells Fargo as a Business Banking professional until 2001. From there, they joined Alamosa PCS as a Financial Analyst from July 2002 to March 2003. In 2003, Michael joined Cox Communications as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, and later became the Director of Finance for the West Texas Region. Michael then moved to Suddenlink Communications, where they held the roles of Director of Fiscal Operations for the West Region and Vice President of Fiscal Operations for the Southwest Region. In 2016, Michael joined Altice USA as the VP of Revenue Planning & Analysis. In 2018, they transitioned to Madera Residential as the Director of Strategy, and in 2020, they became the Chief Financial Officer for Madera Residential and later Quext.

Michael Nelson pursued their education starting from 1997 to 1999 at Lubbock Christian University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Michael then continued their academic journey at Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, in 2014, they attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education program specializing in Cable Executive Management.
