Amer Matar

Amer Matar has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Amer is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at QuickNode, where they lead and works with talented engineering and product teams to shape the future of Blockchain enablement. Prior to this role, Amer was the CTO at Moneris, where they introduced innovative solutions and obtained numerous patents for first-to-market products in North America. Amer also led technology and product development capabilities across various areas such as software engineering, data platform, cyber security, and project management. Before joining Moneris, Amer worked as a Senior Manager at RBC and held roles as Lead Architect and Program Manager at Shared Network Services (SNS, now part of Telus Health). Amer began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at TD and later worked as a Software Engineer at Imperial Oil. Amer's extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in driving technological advancements and delivering impactful solutions.

Amer Matar earned their BSC degree in Computer Science from Université de Montréal. Amer pursued further education and completed an MBA degree in Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
