Durga Raj M. has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. They are currently working as the Director of Engineering at Quintar, Inc, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, Durga Raj M. worked at Intel Corporation from November 2016 to July 2021, where they led the Immersive Media Processing team and were responsible for the capturing, processing, and distribution of immersive live sports content. This technology was used to live stream New York Fashion Week in Virtual Reality for the first time ever. They also designed and developed software applications for VR producers to manage the quality of virtual reality experiences.
Before joining Intel and VOKE VR, Durga Raj M. worked at Integrated Engineering Solutions from May 2010 to July 2016. Here, they started as a Software Engineer and later became a Technical Lead. Their responsibilities included developing software algorithms in various programming languages, creating a tool to migrate PDM and PLM data, and serving as a Scrum Master for agile development processes. They also led the architecture of a migration tool that allowed for customized data movement between databases.
Durga Raj M. also gained valuable research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Missouri University of Science & Technology from January 2008 to May 2010. Their focus was on developing a low-cost Realistic Immersion-Driving Environment (RIDE) simulator, as well as conducting driver behavior studies in realistic driving conditions.
