Jared Bauters

Jared Bauters is a seasoned professional in the field of Silicon Photonics, currently serving as Principal Engineer at Quintessent Inc. since March 2025. Previously, Jared held the position of Senior Manager for Silicon Photonics Hardware Design at OpenLight from April 2022 to March 2025. Prior experience includes a role as Silicon Photonics Hardware Engineer at Juniper Networks from August 2016 to October 2022, and Optoelectronic Device Engineer at Aurrion from August 2013 to August 2016. Jared began a career in research as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara from September 2008 to August 2013. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
