Hamidu Mbonde has a diverse work experience in various research and engineering roles. Hamidu is currently employed at QuiX Quantum as a Photonics Engineer, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at McMaster University from September 2018 to December 2022. Hamidu also served as a Visiting Researcher at DESY from March 2022 to July 2022. Hamidu's previous experience includes being a Research Assistant at Abdullah Gül University (AGU) from September 2016 to September 2018, and a Visiting Research Fellow at NANOTAM - Bilkent University Nanotechnology Research Center from May 2017 to August 2017. Hamidu also worked as an Embedded System Engineer at Firefly Intelligent Technologies from February 2016 to July 2016. Additionally, Hamidu had summer internships at GEMS Yazılım ve Elektronik in June 2015 and Bistek Marine Electronics in June 2014.
Hamidu Mbonde has a solid education history. Starting in 2010, they attended Feza Boys High School, where they focused on Science and Applied Mathematics. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at McMaster University in 2018. Hamidu is currently anticipated to complete this program by 2022, further demonstrating their commitment to education and research.
To enhance their professional profile, Hamidu has obtained two additional certifications. In November 2018, they completed a certification in Silicon Photonics, although the institution providing this certification is undisclosed. Moreover, in February 2021, they completed the Active Silicon Photonics Training Course, offered by CMC Microsystems. These certifications highlight their desire to stay updated with cutting-edge technologies in their field.
