Courtney Rose McQueen, PLA

Courtney Rose McQueen is a PLA with a range of work experience across different organizations. Courtney Rose currently works as a Landscape Architecture Project Coordinator at Qunity. Before this, they worked at City of Durham as a Senior Planner where they managed development review projects and ensured compliance with regulations. Courtney Rose also worked as a Landscape Designer at Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. and Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. and G.E. Fielder & Associates. Outside of their landscape architecture roles, they owned and operated Courtney Rose Studio where they wrote and illustrated children's books about nature and the built environment. Courtney Rose also worked as a Design Consultant, Graduate Assistant, and Design Intern at various organizations before starting their landscape architecture career. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Makeup Artist at Laura Mercier and as a Standards Project Manager at Erickson Living.

Courtney Rose McQueen, PLA has an extensive education history in architecture and landscape architecture. Courtney Rose obtained their Bachelors of Architecture with a focus on Environmental Design from Morgan State University from 2003-2006. Prior to that, they studied architecture at Hampton University from 2001-2003. Courtney Rose later pursued a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree at Morgan State University and completed the program in 2012. In July of 2021, McQueen obtained their Professional Landscape Architect certification from the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects.
