Abi Kuganesan

Abi Kuganesan has an extensive work experience in various roles across multiple companies. They started their career as an Embedded Vision Software Developer at NXP Semiconductors in 2017. Later, in the same year, they worked as a Computer Vision Developer at North (formerly Thalmic Labs). In 2018, Abi served as a Signal Processing and Amplifier Design Subteam Lead at WATonomous and then as a Software Developer - Path Planning at Avidbots Corp.

In 2019, Abi joined Invision AI as a Deep Learning Engineer and continued till 2020. During this time, they also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. In 2022, Abi worked as a CSRMP Research Scholar at Google for a few months. They also joined Quora as a Machine Learning Engineer in the same year.

In terms of their academic experience, Abi worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia from 2020 to 2022.

Abi's most recent role before joining Quora was as the CTO & Co-Founder of Rekammend, where they worked from 2018 to 2021.

Abi Kuganesan has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Systems Design Engineering, with an option in Management Sciences, from the University of Waterloo.
