Chris Luhrs started their work experience as a counselor at the Ross Young Scholars Program from June 1998 to August 2000. Chris then worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University from September 2003 to June 2008. From June 2008 to June 2010, they served as a Game Engineer at Mind Control Software. In July 2010, they became a Quantitative Analyst at Berkeley Quantitative and held the position until May 2012. Chris then joined Facebook as a Data Scientist from April 2012 to April 2015. Chris moved to Google in May 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer and stayed there until September 2017. Chris currently works at Quora, where they started as a Data Scientist in October 2017 and became the Head of Data Science in February 2020.
Chris Luhrs completed a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University, starting in 2003 and finishing in 2008. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2003, they obtained a BS degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
