Melita Saldanha

Melita Saldanha has a strong background in software engineering and development. Melita is currently working as a Software Engineer at Quora since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as an SDE Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from June 2020 to August 2020. During their internship, they were involved in migrating and modernizing the VPC Peering Connection pages, enhancing user control functionalities, and improving user experience using React, TypeScript, and Jest for testing.

Before their internship at AWS, Melita worked as an Android Developer Intern at Symphony Fintech in 2018. In this role, they developed an Android application for the Exchange Trading System (XTS) Project and integrated Firebase Analytics for user engagement tracking.

Additionally, they were a part of Team Vaayushastra from June 2016 to May 2018, representing Fr. CRCE in the global SAE Aero Design UAV building competition. Melita Saldanha received their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering from Fr Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering Band Stand Bandra (West) Mumbai 400 050, graduating in 2019. Before their undergraduate degree, they completed their Maharashtra State Board H.S.C Examination in Computer Science from Thomas Baptista Junior College, during the period of 2013 to 2015. Their education began at Convent of Jesus and Mary High School, where they completed their Maharashtra State Board S.S.C Examination between 2001 and 2013.

Additionally, Melita Saldanha obtained a Core Java Certification from Aptech in October 2015 and achieved proficiency in Electronic Keyboard at the 8th Grade level from Trinity College London in December 2013.
