Jaime Benazar Irausquin

Jaime Benazar Irausquin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Jaime started their career as an intern at Pacific Rubiales Energy, where they worked on a project focused on "Unconventional Power Generation."

Afterward, Irausquin joined Pacific Exploration & Production Corp as an Innovation Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for developing cost estimates and economic assessments for various technologies aimed at optimizing production processing in oil and gas fields. Jaime also managed a project portfolio worth over USD 100M and led the economics assessment of surface facilities for the company's oil exploration portfolio.

Next, Irausquin worked at Frontera Energy Corp as a Process Optimization Engineer. Here, their main responsibility was leading the energy management process of power generation in oil fields that produced over 80,000 barrels of oil per day.

Following their time at Frontera Energy Corp, Irausquin joined Aucerna as a Solutions Consultant. In this role, they designed and implemented technological solutions for upstream projects and planned software implementations to improve oil fields' development planning, including reservoir production, economic analysis, and optimization of investment portfolios.

Most recently, Irausquin has been working at Quorum Software. Jaime initially served as a Solutions Consultant before being promoted to Senior Consultant and then Product Expert. Jaime'sresponsibilities have included leading software implementation projects, managing technical teams, and providing expertise in economics, fiscal regimes modeling, and investment portfolio optimization. Jaime has worked with large NOCs in Latin America and oil and gas operators worldwide.

Jaime Benazar Irausquin completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Petroleum Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, between 2006 and 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar. In 2008, they also obtained a Diplomado in Leadership from the Instituto Universitario de Gerencia y Tecnología, with a study duration of one year.
