Knut-Håvard Aksnes

Knut-Håvard Aksnes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Knut-Håvard currently works as an Integration Architect at Quorum Software since June 2021. Before that, they were a Senior Software Developer at Tieto from July 2018 to May 2021.

Prior to their role at Tieto, Aksnes worked as a Senior Systemutvikler at NextGenTel from May 2015 to August 2017, where they primarily focused on system integration between various internal and external systems. Knut-Håvard worked on integrating with entities such as Norwegian Telecom authorities, companies buying yellow pages information, and companies providing credit check services.

Before NextGenTel, Aksnes worked at Jeppesen Norway AS as a Senior Programmer from July 2009 to April 2015. There, they worked on systems data distribution to customers, including weather maps and chart updates for nautical maps. Knut-Håvard also worked on systems related to licensing of their products.

Aksnes also has experience as an Independent Software Consultant at Aksnes Software from March 2008 to June 2009. During this time, they worked on projects such as redesigning and porting a specialized network component and developing a prototype for a new type of Audio/Video real-time application.

Additionally, Aksnes worked as a Software Developer at OTRUM ASA from August 2007 to February 2008, where they primarily focused on software used to control TV functionality. Knut-Håvard also participated in the design process for a new generation of set-top boxes/plug-in cards and worked on network components used in Otrum's installations.

Earlier in their career, Aksnes worked as a Software Developer at Telemagic Group AS from July 2005 to February 2007, where they worked on projects related to IP telephony and call center solutions based on Asterisk. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Orion Systems/Orion Energy Consulting from July 1998 to September 2003, primarily working on systems for the Nord Pool power exchange.

Aksnes also has experience at Ericsson, where they worked as a Senior Engineer from September 1991 to June 1998. Knut-Håvard worked on technical development tools and internal consulting assignments, including projects in Stockholm.

Their earliest work experience was at Statens Kartverk, where they worked as an Avdelings- and Overingeniør from September 1989 to August 1991. Knut-Håvard worked on a Hydrographic database project, collaborating with the Hydrographic Office, the Norwegian Navy, and Simrad.

From 1984 to 1989, Knut-Håvard Aksnes attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where they pursued a degree in Software Engineering. Knut-Håvard successfully completed their studies and obtained the degree of Sivilingeniør.
