M. Daniel Affourtit Ed.

Daniel Affourtit, M. Ed. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniel currently holds the position of Senior Product Manager at Quorum since September 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Board Member at Yo Art Inc starting in December 2018. Daniel also worked as a Senior Product Manager at Capitol Canary from March 2022 to October 2022 and at Ad Hoc LLC from July 2021 to March 2022. In 2021, they briefly worked as a Senior Product Manager at Ocelot.

During their tenure at Blackbaud, from January 2018 to April 2021, they held different positions including Senior Product Manager, Solutions Engineer, Internet Solutions Technical Trainer, and Enterprise Solutions Specialist II.

Before entering the tech industry, Daniel worked at Charleston County School District, where they held the position of Professional Development Instructor from January 2009 to September 2011. Daniel also taught as a Middle Level Social Studies Teacher at St. Andrews Middle School from January 2007 to September 2011, gaining experience in various educational practices and technology implementation.

Furthermore, they worked as a Middle Level Social Studies Teacher at Community Education Partners from October 2006 to January 2007, where they learned the importance of early intervention in student behavior.

Daniel began their career at Allstate as an Insurance Sales representative, where they worked from January 2002 to August 2004.

Daniel Affourtit, M. Ed. completed their educational journey with a Masters of Education Degree in Instructional Technology from Lesley University, which they pursued from 2009 to 2011. During this program, Daniel focused on the fields of Technology, Education, and Computer Science. Prior to this, they obtained their BA in Secondary Education, History, and Sociology from Stony Brook University, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Before advancing to their Bachelor's degree, Daniel pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Suffolk Community College between 2000 and 2003. Additionally, Daniel Affourtit obtained a certification in PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute in March 2022.
