Ciaran McAteer

Ciaran McAteer has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ciaran started their career as an Assistant Sales at Costcutter Supermarkets Group Limited in 2014, where they worked until 2018. In 2018, they joined CME Group as a Cyber Security Engineer, where they gained experience in cyber defence, identity and access management, and web application penetration testing. Ciaran also developed secure web applications using HTML/PHP with JavaScript and utilized tools like Burp Suite for exploiting vulnerable web applications. In 2019, they worked part-time as an IT Support Engineer for Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, handling tasks such as software installation, remote troubleshooting, and managing permissions and groupings through Active Directory. Currently, they are working at QuoteMedia, Inc. as a Security Engineer starting from 2022.

Ciaran McAteer received their primary education at St.Louis Grammar School, Ballymena, from 2009 to 2016. During this time, they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study.

After completing their secondary education, Ciaran enrolled at Queen's University Belfast in 2016. Ciaran pursued an MEng degree in Software and Electronic Systems Engineering, specializing in Computer Software Engineering. Their studies at Queen's University lasted until 2021, leading him to successfully complete their degree.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ciaran McAteer obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification in November 2018, which was awarded by the institution CompTIA.
