Janeta Popovici - Muller

Janeta Popovici-Muller is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Drug Discovery at Quotient Therapeutics since March 2024, Janeta previously held the position of Head of Drug Design and Advancement at WaveBreak, where the focus was on neurodegeneration. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of Drug Discovery at Rectify Pharma, overseeing the development of Positive Functional Modulators for genetic diseases, and Vice President and Head of Chemistry at Decibel Therapeutics, which specializes in hearing restoration therapies. Janeta's background also includes significant contributions at Agios Pharmaceuticals, Merck Research Laboratories, and Schering-Plough Research Institute, with expertise spanning oncology, rare genetic disorders, and anti-virals. Janeta earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Dartmouth College and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Organic Chemical Technology from Politehnica University of Bucharest.
