Sandy Hinckley

Vice President, Head Of Discovery at QurAlis

Sandy Hinckley has extensive experience in neuroscience and drug discovery, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Discovery at QurAlis since February 2018, leading projects focused on ALS therapeutics. Prior roles include Group Leader at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, where Sandy conducted high throughput screening with iPSC-derived neurons, and CIRM Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego, developing protocols for generating specific neuronal subtypes. Additional experience includes consultation for pre-clinical studies at Neurocore LLC and initiating gene therapy research for ALS during a Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Sandy earned a Ph.D. in Physiology, Neuroscience, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
