Kimmo Kalliola has been a leader in the field of wireless connectivity for over 20 years. Kimmo began their career as a researcher at Aalto University, where they developed a directional radio channel sounder and conducted radio propagation measurements. Kimmo then joined Nokia Research Center, where they led the Connectivity Solutions team. In this role, they were responsible for local positioning and wireless ad-hoc networking. Kimmo left Nokia in 2012 to become CEO of Quuppa, a company that specializes in indoor positioning technology. Under their leadership, Quuppa has become a world leader in this field.
Kimmo Kalliola has a Doctor of Science in Technology, specializing in electrical engineering, from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
