Nizar El Assaad

Nizar El Assaad has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the telecommunications and IT industry. Nizar is currently serving as the Head of Operational Delivery Programs at Qvantel since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at VEON as the Director Program Office Digital Transformation from July 2016 to December 2020. Nizar also served as the Chief Information Officer at Kyivstar from February 2015 to June 2016. Nizar's previous experience includes working at banglalink as the Chief Information and Customer Experience Officer (CICXO) from May 2014 to January 2015, during which they led a team of over 100 people in 5 IT and Customer Experience divisions and transformed the IT department to a business partner. Nizar also worked as the IT Director at banglalink from May 2008 to April 2014, where they achieved NPS leadership in the Bangladesh Telecom market and implemented various initiatives to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager, Infrastructure and Operations at banglalink from November 2004 to April 2008. Nizar started their career at Anzima s.a.l as a Customer Support Manager & Support Engineer in August 1994 and later worked at Cablevision s.a.l as an IT Administrator from January 1992 to July 1994.

Nizar El Assaad completed a Transition to General Management program at INSEAD in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Communications from the American University of Beirut between 1988 and 1992. Before attending university, Nizar El Assaad completed their French Baccalaureate in Mathematics (série C) at Collège Protestant Français in Beirut from 1985 to 1988.
