Scott Scanlon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Scott began their career as an Inside Sales representative at McCann Industries, Inc., where they worked from June 2003 to October 2004. Scott then joined Naperville Public Library as an IT Help Desk professional, providing hardware and software troubleshooting, installing and replacing hardware, and configuring software from June 2006 to February 2010.

Moving forward, Scott became a Senior Network Engineer at MG Computer, where they performed server setup, configuration, and deployment, hardware and software troubleshooting for clients, and installation and configuration of network printers, among other responsibilities. Scott worked at MG Computer from January 2005 to October 2014.

From October 2014 to May 2019, Scott served as the Director of Infrastructure Services at Creative Group, Inc., where they played a key role in saving over $80k in IT spending and contributed to the development of IT strategies and vision. Scott ensured that infrastructure architectures were scalable and supported business needs.

Following this, Scott transitioned to Professional Benefit Administrators, Inc. as an IT Manager. In this role, they reduced IT spending by 30%, implemented a Security Awareness program to improve Phish Prone rate, managed disaster recovery procedures, upgraded the internal phone system, and created an IT Operations manual. Scott held this position from May 2019 to April 2022.

Currently, Scott works as the Director of IT at 66degrees, leading the IT department and managing the company's US footprint in Chicago, Denver, and Orlando, as well as overseeing operations in India, Costa Rica, UK, and Brazil. Along with managing the IT team, they are responsible for developing and implementing IT systems and processes for the organization.

Scott Scanlon has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Illinois State University (1998-2001) and an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Joliet Junior College (1994-1998). Scott also holds additional certifications, including AWS Tech Essentials and ITIL Foundation v4 from StormWind Studios, as well as various certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft.
