James Wallner currently serves as Vice Chairman at Fly Fishers International and lectures at Clemson University and American University. Wallner holds the position of Senior Fellow at R Street Institute and has previously been a Kluge Fellow at the Library of Congress. An experienced educator, Wallner was an Adjunct Professor at The Catholic University of America for a decade. In the realm of public policy, Wallner held various roles in the United States Senate, including Executive Director of the Senate Steering Committee and Legislative Director for Senators Pat Toomey and Jeff Sessions, as well as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. Wallner's academic achievements include a PhD and an MA in Politics from The Catholic University of America, an MS in International and European Politics from The University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Political Science from The University of Georgia.
