Douglas Maine has worked in a variety of industries since 2009. Douglas began their career as a Senior Advisor at Brown Brothers Harriman, a partnership bank founded in 1818. In 2016, they took on the role of Non Executive Chairman at Olympusat Holdings, a media company specializing in ownership, distribution, production and technical services. In 2017, they became an Executive In Residence at Columbia Business School. In 2018, they joined Acreage Holdings as Lead Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. In 2013, they became a Director Emeritus at R4 Technologies, a pioneer of cross-enterprise AI. In 2021, they became a Director at Veea Inc. and in 2022 they joined the boards of directors at Utility Pipeline Ltd. and Seismic Holdings Inc. Douglas also became a Director at Paladin Artists in 2022.

Douglas Maine attended Penn Manor High School from 1961 to 1966, where they earned a Diploma in the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Douglas then attended Temple University from 1967 to 1971, where they earned a B.S. in Communications. Douglas later attended Hofstra University from 1975 to 1978, where they earned an MBA in Finance.
