Heather Gillett

Heather Gillett has extensive work experience in various roles related to nursing and healthcare administration. Heather'smost recent role is as the Workforce Clinical Development Lead at RAAFA WA, starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Nurse Manager Workforce at WA Country Health Service from February 2021 to January 2023. Heather also served as a Clinical Advisor in Nursing & Midwifery at the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency from August 2015 to February 2021. Heather has experience as a Nurse Manager of Workforce Initiatives at WA Country Health Service from April 2013 to July 2015 and as a Nurse Lecturer at Challenger Institute of Technology from February 2011 to April 2013. Additionally, they held managerial positions at AHPRA WA as the Manager of Nursing and Midwifery Registration from September 2010 to January 2011, and at Nurses and Midwives Board of WA as the Director of Registration and Policy from July 2008 to October 2010.

Heather Gillett holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Edith Cowan University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1994. In 2017, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Management at the Australian College of Nursing. Additionally, from 2011 to 2012, they attended Trainwest and earned a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.
