Joseph Thompson

Joseph Thompson serves as the Assistant Technical Director and a National Instructor Team Member at the American Mountain Guides Association since September 2016. In addition, Joseph is a Guide Athlete for CAMP USA, representing one of the leading alpinist equipment manufacturers. Joseph also holds the position of Guide/Athlete with Rab and has been a Brand Ambassador for Backcountry Access, Inc. since March 2014. Previous roles include Certified Mountain Guide for Certified Guides Cooperative and Mountain Guide at Colorado Mountain School, with extensive guiding experiences across renowned locations. Joseph has held various guiding and ambassadorial roles with different organizations, including Northwest Mountain School and Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, and has pursued extensive education in alpine skills with the American Mountain Guides Association.
