Deniz Z. has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning and data science. They currently hold the position of Director of Machine Learning at Rad AI. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Machine Learning at Speak, where they built and deployed scalable speech and NLP features on AWS. Before that, they worked as a Research Scientist at Medium, leading the development of a robust topic classification system and improving readership and retention metrics. They also served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Clarity Money, where they built a machine learning platform to streamline the ML process. Deniz Z. has expertise in personalization, recommendation systems, and deep learning, as evidenced by their roles as Machine Learning Lead at Mona and Data Scientist at Custora. They have also held positions as an Instructor of Data Science at General Assemb.ly and as a Data Scientist at The SumAll Foundation. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Quantitative Developer at Pharo Management.
