Carlijn Binnendijk

Carlijn Binnendijk is currently a Trainee at RadarAdvies within the team focused on Democracy and Security, starting in September 2023. Previously, Carlijn served as RAN Staff with the Radicalisation Awareness Network from September 2023 to June 2024, primarily working within the coordinating team for the Youth & Education Working Group, aimed at uniting youth professionals to combat radicalisation and extremism. Additional experience includes an internship with the Municipality of The Hague at the Information Point for the Prevention of Polarisation and Radicalisation from September 2022 to February 2023, and a role as a Recruitment Officer at the Centre for Human Drug Research from October 2020 to September 2022. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in Criminology and Security Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, both from Leiden University. Carlijn has also contributed to a consultancy project for Amnesty International as a Student Consultant, collaborated in PR and Communication as a board member for Rode Kruis Studentendesk, and completed minors in Criminology and Public Administration during studies at Leiden University.
