Janneke Weiss

Janneke Weiss has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Janneke began their career as a PhD student at VUMC, where they conducted research from October 1998 to December 2002. Janneke then joined LUMC, where they worked as a Clinical Molecular Geneticist in training from January 2003 to December 2006, followed by a role as a Clinical laboratory geneticist from January 2007 to December 2008. Janneke then worked at VUmc as a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist from an unspecified date in 2008 to November 2019. During their time at VUmc, they also held the position of Head of diagnostic NGS facility and NIPT unit from January 2017 to November 2019 and served as a Project Manager for the lateralization genome diagnostic laboratories from October 2015 to November 2019. In 2016, they also worked as an Externe auditor at BELAC, de Belgische Accreditatie-instelling. Janneke's most recent role, starting in July 2022, is as the Radboud Technology Center Director at Radboudumc, overseeing the genomics department.

Janneke Weiss completed their education with a PhD in molecular clinical genetics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree from St. Vituscollege in Bussum between 1987 and 1993. Their education history also includes attending Koepelschool in Bussum from 1979 to 1987, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.
